DeeDee left me a comment. DeeDee, who wrote Finding Lily, one of my favorite HP fics of all time. who is one of my fanfic deities. who has a site, much-ado.net, which is one of my favorite places on the 'Net, ever. who hosts 2 of my favorite fanlistings.

continuing in the ol' Tolkien vein...
one of my multiple personalities likes to go by the name of Gl�owyn of the Rohirrim. this name i made up for myself whilst -- what a cute Britishism "whilst" is -- playing my Tolkien gamebooks several years ago, waaay before Tolkien bcame fashionable bcause of the movies, and i signed up for a Hotmail addy with this name back in 1998, i think, and still use it in spite of my continual aggravation due to all the gawdawful spam -- that's how attached i am to Gl�owyn. as for the spam, make it stop, pleeease! some1 make it stop!!!
barrowdowns.com has a cool Tolkien name generator. when i tried it sometime ago, i decided on the Elvish name Angal�m�wen, Dwarvish Perin Woodenarrow (i like to think it's bcause i'm great friends with the famous archer Legolas Greenleaf -- lol!), Hobbit name Mentha Burrows from Rushy, and Orcish Krumk� the Plunderer (i tried it again today and got different results, but i'm sticking with the ones i got before)
Plus, according to the Red Book of Westmarch, in Middle-earth Gl�owyn was a world-famous Valar! ^_^

oh, and something wonderful happened this morning. i heard my third version of John's "Your Body Is a Wonderland" on the radio, and it was such a treat -- it was from one of his live gigs and toward the end of it he snuck in a few lines from "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic": Do I have to tell the story / Of a thousand rainy days since we first met / It's a big enough umbrella / But it's always me that ends up getting wet

i'm Rogue again, and i don't mind that i'm untouchable bcause i love her madly. not Goth!Rogue from the Evolution series, although she looks pretty cool. i mean vintage Rogue from the comic books, before they went and Anna Paquin-ized her. not that i dislike Anna either, bcause i think she's lovely too. i'm just more fond of 20something Rogue than teenage Anna type Rogue. she's vulnerable and lonely and messed-up enough already without reverting her to adolescence too! oh the mutant angstyness of it all!

Kym, if you're reading this, here's my first ever Higgs fanart, the other one's already in my june 4 Slytherin rant. OK, so Will Theakston's not Terence in this pic yet, it's from when he was Roddy Oliver on the BBC's Ghost Hunter, i just Slytherin-ized the pic a bit bcause i am in love with his smile.
but over the weekend i did 'caps of the hunky Mr. Higgs, and i may just have another fanart of him soon. i tried taking 'caps of Marcus and one of the other Slytherin Chasers, but they didn't come out too well, so i'll have to try again.
i got the Angelina i wanted, and i didn't even have to cheat! {lol}
oh, and addendum to my Slytherin Quidditch team rant: their Keeper from the first HP movie was a girl, so the unidentified guy (whom i am tentatively calling Adrian) cannot be the Keeper, Bletchley; this was a casting mistake imho, bcause i firmly believe the Slytherin team is all-male. i took a good long look at the Quidditch match but i didn't see any1 who looked like our mystery man so the mystery continues. Kym mentioned another possible name for Marcus my Overbite Boy, it seems his real name may actually be Jamie Yeates -- and i'd gotten so attached to calling him Scott Fearn too...oh well, i'll have to do more research on this... {sigh} meanwhile i'm still thinking of him as Scott Fearn until i know conclusively otherwise. so there.
oh, btw...i caved in and got me a deadjournal last night while blogspot was all wonky and stuff. link is above.
and now for my regularly scheduled anime talk...
here are the most gorgeous doujinshi scans of Kenshin x Kaoru i saw recently! (my eternal gratitude to the ppl who did violence to their beloved doujinshi just so they could scan these pics)
K x K kiss!!! - my all-time favorite! {swoon!}
and from Kenshinny's Doujinshi Guide, i am particularly charmed by the K x K kissing in the dojo doorway (awww!!! from a doujinshi with the charming title Violently Happy 2 ^.^ ) and the K x K ear nibble!!! (from before he goes to fight Saitoh) i like ear nibble...{giggle}

OK, i did some research on the unidentified Slytherin guy with Flint & Malfoy and i think i may have a name: David Holmes, who is credited as Slytherin Chaser Adrian Pucey in PS/SS and reportedly will also be in CoS. i still haven't checked to see if he's in the first movie though, so that's not 100% sure. alternatively, he could be the Keeper, Bletchley. but i prefer Adrian; he looks like an Adrian to me {smiley} and wouldn't it be sort of cool if Millicent Bulstrode joined the Slytherin team? then she'd be their only girl, but you prolly couldn't tell her apart from the guys {snerk!}

OK, i did some research on the unidentified Slytherin guy with Flint & Malfoy and i think i may have a name: David Holmes, who is credited as Slytherin Chaser Adrian Pucey in PS/SS and reportedly will also be in CoS. i still haven't checked to see if he's in the first movie though, so that's not 100% sure. alternatively, he could be the Keeper, Bletchley. but i prefer Adrian; he looks like an Adrian to me {smiley} and wouldn't it be sort of cool if Millicent Bulstrode joined the Slytherin team? then she'd be their only girl, but you prolly couldn't tell her apart from the guys {snerk!}

today RoryGilmore1008 told me secret stuff about her Mom: She has held onto her childhood diary over the years as one of her most prized possessions. There is one entry in it. "June 27, 1979: Today I got a diary." She still thinks she may write in it one day.

this has been going on for awhile now (actually more like since the first few episodes of Bakuretsu Hunters that i saw months ago) but today i joyfully announce my love of Carrot x Tira with a lovely lovely piccie from MASK - the Carrot Glaces shrine on the right below. awww...'waaaiii!!!

Luce, i thought snapfish had blocked remote linking from their servers, turns out it was just a bad link that was keeping my Higgs fanart from displaying...{embarrassment} but i set up an MSN community like you said anyway {shrug}

and oh yeah, Luce, i saw Norah Jones being interviewed on E! last night -- she is so adorable. i hope i find her Come Away with Me cd so i can put it cozily next to John's Room for Squares when they're not playing. Joiseys ruuule!

Will Theakston is Terence Higgs, and a different kind of hotness altogether -- i'll have to post my Higgs fanart later. and that guy behind Malfoy, what a dish! thou must not remain unidentified, o cute Slytherin boy! i wonder if he was in the first movie...better check that on my video later too, heheheheheh...

bcause i'm still feeling somewhat guilty about teasing Ben for the baby name book thing, and to along go with Lucy's trend of discussing names in her blog:
i confess that i have plans to name my rhetorical son Ryan James (so i can call him Jamie for short) and my rhetorical daughter Emily Aravis (will also be called Eries).
for girls i tend to favor androgynous names like Blaise, Jordan, Hunter, etc.
in sort of related news, i know this webpage for Japanizing names and Luce, you can call me Deru {smiley} may i call you Rushi sometimes, just for fun?

today i watched the first three videos of the sh�jo anime To Heart -- i'm not quite sure what the Japanese title is, but the words cute and sweet were invented for this series. anyway, in the second ep was a band called Childish an Hour. Japanese bands have such whimsical names! ^_^ i'm going to go get that article about Japanese band names and be right back.
